A top independent Preparatory School in London require a teacher of Latin and Greek to start as soon as possible. This is a part-time role (50% of a timetable) which would entail teaching Latin and Greek from Years 5 -8. Initially, the position is till half-term, however, with a strong likelihood of going till the end of term, and a possibility of becoming permanent.

Essential: Prior experience teaching Classics, or applications from strong NQTs or postgraduates would also be warmly considered.

Desired: Experience with Common Entrance and Scholarship preparation, and a background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

The children have very positive attitudes to learning, demonstrating perseverance and resilience in lessons. All the children achieve excellent academic results and go on to a range of excellent secondary schools. The school has a very strong pastoral foundation and pupils gain significantly in confidence whilst at the school.
