Haileybury is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Economics teacher to join the school from September 2019.

The School
Set in 500 acre site in the Hertfordshire country side, the school buildings have the ideal mix of historic facades with modern and up to date teaching spaces with the latest technology. The school educates over 800 boys and girls from 11-18 either as day pupils or as boarders. With facilities ranging from; state of the art music rooms and art and design studio spaces to a newly refurbished 25-meter swimming pool, high standard AstroTurf and aches of sports pitches.

Haileybury prides its self in its sense of community with each pupil belonging to one of 8 houses whether they are a boarder or a day pupil. School life runs seven days a week during the term time, with session being on in the evenings, Saturday morning lessons followed by Sporting fixtures and then chapel on Sundays.

Haileybury prides its self with the destination of its leavers at 18 with 62% of pupils gaining places at the Russel group Universities along with others gaining entrance to top universities worldwide.

The Role
Open to both non-qualified and experienced teachers you will join a department made up for 3 full time teachers and teach across both A-Level specifications and the IB curriculum. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise supported with a relevant degree, they will ideally have experience teaching but a person with a desire to become a teacher will also be considered. Full participation in school life is expected during term time. The salary package will be attractive for the right candidate including accommodation or accommodation allowance where appropriate.
