Teacher of Sports Science (academic)

Job description

A leading independent school on the Surrey borders require a teacher of Sports Science (academic) from January, 2021, however, an earlier start may also be possible. This is a permanent position, primarily academic in nature, which would entail teaching modules such as: sports psychology, physical activity and health, sports and exercise biomechanics, exercise physiology, and research methods in Sports Science. There will be a practical teaching component to the position as well.

Essential: Prior experience teaching PE or Sports Science to GCSE, A level, or BTEC, or applications from strong NQTs or postgraduates would also be warmly considered.  A strong academic background would be essential for this position. Full support would be provided for the NQT Induction.

Desired: A postgraduate degree and a background in the independent sector would be a strong advantage, however, this is certainly not essential.
