A leading Independent Preparatory School in London require a SENCO from September, 2021. This is a full time permanent position which would entail managing the SEN provision in the school.

The successful candidate will demonstrate best practise throughout the schoo to ensure children of all attainment levels reach their potential.

Central to the position will be to outline the strategic direction and development of SEN provision, leading and managing staff and making efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources. The role would entail assisting pupils with special needs such as: dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, dyscalculia and mild learning difficulties.

Essential: A successful track record of teaching pupils with special needs, particularly dyslexia. Applications from experienced SEN teachers and  SENCOs from secondary school environments would also be warmly received.

Desired: A NASENCO qualification, prior experience in a similar post or positions of responsibility, and a background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is not essential.

The school adopts a family atmosphere in which children are happy and forward thinking by cultivating their sense of resilience by building their confidence, character, competency and connection to others.  It is a thriving school that takes pride in its holistic approach to education so that pupils are able to flourish in a supportive and caring environment.
