Harris Hill are delighted to be recruiting for a SENCO and Head of Learning Support to join a wonderful school in Dorset.

The school are looking for a permanent person to undertake the post immediately, they, however, are open to applications from contract candidates available now until January 2020 or ideally longer.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual. Learning Support is tailored to the individual pupil dependent upon their level of need. Our school caters for a broad range of capabilities and some pupils will require more support in their learning than others. Candidates should hold or be working towards recognised qualifications in SEN and experience of teaching children with specific learning difficulties is essential. The successful applicant will be responsible for the running of the department and management of 2 other members of staff as well as outside agencies. He/she will be passionate about the subject and rigorous in enforcing high academic standards, willing to continue the development of the department. A commitment to contribute fully to the extra-curricular life of this busy, seven day a week boarding school would be an advantage.

The school has its own generous pay scale and offers excellent CPD.

Accommodation is available for a single person or couple

The school are very open minded with regards to their teaching staff and so though a NASENCO qualification is valued, are receptive to applications from individuals with SENCO experience or a senior SEN teacher looking to move further into this field.

Due to the urgency of the post, early applications are highly encouraged. Please send your CV to jessamine.green@harrishill.co.uk or call 0207 091 6411 for an informal discussion around the post

We look forward to receiving your application!
