A leading independent school on the Surrey/Hampshire borders require an SEN teacher from January, 2021, however, an earlier start would also be considered. This is a permanent position which can be full-time or part-time (the latter on a 60% timetable). The post would entail teaching pupils from Year 7 to A level with SEN needs such as: dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, autism, and visual impairments.  On-site accommodation is available.

Essential: Prior experience teaching SEN students in a secondary environment or applications from strong NQTs would also be warmly considered. Full support would be provided for the NQT Induction.

Desired: Additional certifications or degrees in the area of Special Needs, and a background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

Central to the school's values is giving respect and attention to every individual, valuing their differences, and expecting them to value and respect others in the same spirit. The school believe in creating an environment in which students feel supported in expressing themselves and being adventurous in their learning. They enable each student to achieve his or her personal best across the broadest range of school activities - academic, creative, Sports, the Arts, and serving the community.
