Teacher of Physics

Harris Hill are delighted to be recruiting for a Physicist to join a Central London school from January 2020 on a 1 year fixed term basis.

Physics is flourishing more than ever at the school and there are currently nine specialist teaching members of the department and two dedicated technicians.  Public examination results are outstanding: 95% achieve A* or A in the Lower School and 85% achieve an A grade equivalent or better at Pre-U level. In addition, the department performs very strongly in the British Physics Olympiad, with several gold medals obtained by pupils each year; indeed, we have twice recently had the highest-placed British competitor at the international competition.

What we’re looking for

The successful applicant will have a strong academic record in Physics (or a closely related discipline), a high level of commitment to the subject and the ability to inspire pupils beyond the confines of a syllabus.

The school does not require a formal teaching qualification, however, they are looking for a individual with Key stages 4 and 5 experience and a good, relevant Physics related degree.
