Part-time SENCO

Job description

An excellent independent school in London require a part-time SENCO from September, 2021. The role would entail assisting pupils aged between 7-18 years of age with literacy, general study skills and providing help to those with special needs such as dyslexia, ADHD and dyspraxia.

Essential: Several years' experience teaching SEN pupils.

Desired: SEN experience in both primary and secondary school environments, a Level 5 qualification or equivalent, and additional postgraduate qualifications in special needs would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

The school has a purposeful and caring atmosphere and offers every pupil a happy and stimulating environment whereby everyone can fulfil their potential. The school gives pupils outstanding individual attention, with equal emphasis on academic rigour and outstanding pastoral care. This is made possible by the excellent and dedicated staff who ensure that pupils enjoy school and are given the skills and understanding of how to learn not just what to learn.
