A school based in South West London are seeking an Office Administrator. The successful candidate will provide front-of-house support to the Bursary Office and will assist the COO, the Finance team and the HR team with a variety of tasks, including debtor management, parent queries, recruitment and induction. This is a great opportunity to develop a wide range of transferrable skills in a varied and interesting role, with access to CPD and career progression. You will need a flexible 'can-do' attitude, a high level of organisation and efficiency, and a willingness to provide excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

Be the first point of contact with the Bursary via telephone and in person; welcome and direct on-site visitors, deal with general telephone enquiries
Act as liaison between the schools and the Bursary, including producing and distributing a termly update
Maintain the Bursary shared drive; ensuring file structures are logical and organised and that historic information is archived or deleted as appropriate
Manage incoming and outgoing post
Ensure the Bursary web page is kept up to date
Maintain the Bursary shared calendar
Maintain stationery supplies
General office duties including filing and photocopying;
Be the first point of contact for queries regarding school fees
Administer the termly insurance schemes
Provide ad hoc support to the Billing Manager during key billing periods
Take payment of monies by telephone

Person specification

Experience in an administrative role
Experience of working with confidential Data
Experience of using a variety of IT systems and databases
Strong IT skills particularly MS Office; Ability to self-direct and use own initiative; Good communication skills (both verbal & written) and particularly a good telephone manner;
Ability to prioritise and focus in the face of interruptions and changing demands;
A working knowledge of GDPR
