A leading independent school on the Hampshire/Berkshire borders require a Learning Support teacher from September, 2022. This is a permanent position which would entail teaching pupils from Year 7 to A Level with SEN needs such as: dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and dyscalculia.

Essential: Prior experience teaching SEN students in a secondary environment or applications from strong NQTs or postgraduates would also be warmly considered. Full support would be provided for the ECT Induction.

Desired: Additional degrees in the area of Special Needs, including A Level 5 or NASENCO qualification, and a background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

Central to the school's values is giving respect and attention to every individual, valuing their differences, and expecting them to value and respect others in the same spirit. The school believe in creating an environment in which students feel supported in expressing themselves and being adventurous in their learning. They enable each student to achieve their personal best across academically and through a broad range of extracurricular activities such as: sport, the Arts, or serving the community.
