A leading Independent Preparatory School in London require a Head of Learning Support, ideally, from September, 2022, however, a later start would also be considered. This is a permanent position which would involve responsibility for SEND throughout the school.

The successful candidate will demonstrate best practise throughout the school working with all teachers to ensure children of all attainment levels reach their potential. Central to the position will be to outline the strategic direction and development of SEN provision, leading and managing staff and making efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources.  The role would entail assisting pupils with special needs such as: dyslexia, dyspraxia, mild autism, and dyscalculia.

Essential: Several years' experience teaching pupils with special needs, particularly dyslexia.  Applications from experienced SENCOs from secondary school environments would also be warmly received.

Desired: A NASENCO qualification, prior experience holding a position of responsibility, and a background in the independent sector, would be a bonus, however, this is not essential.

The school adopts a family atmosphere in which children are happy, confident and encouraged to be forward thinking. It is a thriving school that takes pride in its holistic approach to education.
