A leading Independent Preparatory School in London are looking for a Head of English from September, 2020. The school are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about English as well as excellence in teaching and learning to lead this successful department.

The role will involve departmental leadership as well as a teaching timetable from Years 5-8. The ability to teach at Common Entrance and Scholarship will be necessary, however, teachers with considerable A Level or GCSE experience will also suit this role.

Essential: An excellent track record teaching English at Primary level or applications from experienced secondary English teachers would also be warmly received.

Desired: Prior experience teaching at Common Entrance, Scholarship or secondary level, a background in the independent sector, as well as prior experience holding a position of responsibility would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.
