Harris Hill are recruiting for an exceptional teacher of English to join a wonderful preparatory school in London from September 2020, on a permanent basis. 

The successful and qualified applicant will be responsible for leading English throughout the school and for teaching boys from Years 5-8 including Common Entrance and Scholarship sets. 

The Head of English will be responsible for developing this vital subject throughout the school from the Foundation Stage to Year 8 and will ensure that all areas of English are being addressed including:

• Reading
• Writing
• Comprehension
• Handwriting
• Spelling
• Appreciation of literature (including poetry and prose)
• Speaking and listening

They will work with the Head of Department to ensure effective subject development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and ambitious teacher. You will need to be able to teach to a high standard whilst being innovative and creative in your approach and, enjoy working with young children.
