Job description

An excellent independent school on the Berkshire borders require an English Curriculum Director from September 2022. This is a permanent position which would entail leading on strategy, curriculum and managing staff, as well as teaching English through the school.

Essential: A proven and successful track record of teaching English at secondary level.

Desired: Prior experience holding a position of responsibility and a background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

Their last inspection found that the quality of relationships between staff and pupils, and amongst the pupils themselves is outstanding. The ethos of the school is one which cultivates an appetite for achievement, a determination to succeed and a lifelong love of learning. Within the classroom, they encourage pupils to strive for the highest academic standards, to seize the many learning opportunities provided and to celebrate their achievements and those of their peers.
