A leading Independent Prep School on the Berkshire/London borders require a Director of Religious Studies from September 2020. This is a permanent position which would entail directing the Religious Studies provision as well as teaching to Common Entrance and Scholarship level.

Essential: Prior experience teaching Religious Studies, or applications from strong NQTs, postgraduates, or secondary trained teachers would also be warmly received. Full support would be provided for the NQT Induction.

Desired: Prior experience teaching Religious Studies to at least GCSE level, experience with 11+ or 13+ preparation, and a background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

The school aims to create a supportive and caring environment in which pupils feel happy and safe. They are well cared for by dedicated staff who are able to give excellent individual attention in small classes averaging about 15 pupils. It is the school's warm and purposeful atmosphere that particularly strikes most visitors. The school provides pupils with academic rigour in combination with traditional values so that pupils grow into confident, caring and successful individuals outside the school gates. The school offers cutting edge, first class facilities and has a wide selection of extracurricular activities to choose from.

If you would like the opportunity to lead the Religious Studies provision in a top independent Prep School, please forward your CV asap to: devra.farhi@harrishill.co.uk or please ask for Devra for an informal chat on: 020 7820 7308.
