An independent school on the London borders require a Computing teacher from September 2020. This is a permanent position which would entail teaching Computing to A level and Maths to GCSE.

Essential: Prior experience teaching Computing or strong NQTs or postgraduates would also be considered. Full support would be provided for the NQT Induction.

Desired: A background in the independent sector and experience teaching Computing at A level would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

The school's mission is to foster a thirst for knowledge and a real commitment to learning. Students are shown what it means to take responsibility; they are encouraged to develop a strong moral code with the ability to make informed judgements about what is right and wrong. Central to their ethos is the importance of caring for others and teaching students important skills for later life: social, physical and practical.

The chosen candidate should be well organised, thoughtful about how they teach and how they can contribute to improvement in teaching and learning with high expectations of the pupils, themselves and their colleagues. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role in contributing to the range of exciting co-curricular activities offered by the department.

If you are an enthusiastic computer scientist interested in teaching in a top independent school, please forward your CV asap to devra.farhi@harrishill.co.uk or please ask for Devra on tel: 020 7820 7308 for an informal chat.
