We are thrilled to be recruiting for an excellent teacher of Chemistry to join an independent secondary school in Central London as soon as possible.

This is a full time, permanent position and the role would involve teaching Chemistry throughout the age range at the school (please note that it is essential to your application that you have some KS5 teaching experience) The school are, however, open to non-qualified teachers.

Please note, the school are looking ideally for a permanent postholder but are open to a fixed term contract for the right candidate.

 Requirements

Essential:        A strong, relevant degree in Chemistry

An ability to teach Chemistry up to A-Level. Applications from strong NQTs and graduates would be warmly considered.

Desired:          A background in the independent sector would be a bonus, however, this is certainly not essential.

The role would suit a teacher who can deliver enthusiastic and engaging chemistry teaching, inspiring our pupils to fulfil their potential in the sciences. The school is a high energy, fast paced working environment and would suit a practitioner who is both resilient and pro-active. A commitment to extra-curricular activity is expected from every teacher within the school.

The school is a small, calm and friendly place to work situated in Marylebone and so boasts excellent transport links. Also part of the AlphaPlus group, renowned for great teaching and work environment for staff, they offer very attractive salaries, supportive and friendly work environment and small class sizes - one of many reasons to apply for this position.

If interested, please send your CV to jess.green@harrishill.co.uk or call on 0207 0911 641 for an informal discussion around the post.
